Jennifer Loveless (Houston, TX )

Jennifer Loveless, a guideline specialist at the Infectious Diseases Society of America, will talk about GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, and Evaluation), a framework for grading the quality of evidence.  She will address how health sciences librarians can use it in their work with clinicians and students.  In addition, Jennifer will address ways to teach GRADE to students and clinical staff alike. GRADE is an invaluable tool for practicing evidence-based medicine. Presenter Bios: 

Jennifer Loveless works at the Infectious Diseases Society of America as a Guidelines Specialist. In this role, she works with clinicians to develop and disseminate evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Jennifer has worked in the field of evidence-based practice since 2008. Prior to joining IDSA, Jennifer worked as an Evidence-Based Practice Specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital, the largest children’s hospital in the United States. She is a GRADE-trained methodologist, with extensive work experience in project management, quality improvement, and guideline development/implementation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas School of Public Health.

  • Refundable up to the day before the meeting.

  • Online meeting via Zoom (courtesy of OhioNET). The meeting link will be included in the registration confirmation and reminders. 

  • The meeting room will open at 9:45 am for announcements and conversation. Please plan to login and test your connectivity at least 15 minutes before the start time of the presentation (e.g. plan to login no later than 10:00 a.m.).
