Program: ChatGPT and Generative AI: Benefits, Concerns and Opportunities for Health Science Libraries

Librarians are uniquely positioned to rise to the challenge that artificial intelligence (AI) presents to the field. Libraries and their like have existed for millennia; they progress with society, altering and adapting their services to meet the information needs of their communities.

Presenter Bios: 

Sandy Hervieux is the Head Librarian of the Nahum Gelber Law Library at McGill University. Her research interests include reference services, information literacy, and the impact of artificial intelligence  in academic libraries, digital humanities.

Amanda Wheatley is the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator Humanities and Social Science Library Liaison Librarian for Management, Business, and Entrepreneurship librarian at McGill University.  Her research interest include artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, entrepreneurship, gamification, and information literacy.
